This DC-8 was originally delivered to United as N8033U in October 1960. As N8033U it went on to fly with Bahamas World and Transports Aériens Centrafricain (STAC), before the latter re-registered the plane as TL-AHI in May 1979. It became 5A-DGK in November 1979 with United African and then with Jamahiriya Air Transport in June 1983. The plane was scrapped at Luxembourg (ELLX / LUX) in 1985 with the forward section becoming part of the Air Classic Collection on the spectator's terrace at Frankfurt airport. It has now found a nice home at EDES.

Built in 1960 and delivered to United as N8033U. Its last operator was United African Airlines and after the aircraft was dismantled at Luxembourg in 1983, its forward fuselage was acquired by Air Classics for display. When the terrace at Frankfurt closed at the end of 2005 the fuselage was removed to Griesheim Airfield, near Darmstadt.
