Briefly operated by British European Airways in 1949, then with Cyprus Airways and returned to the UK for Skyways of London. Here still in basic Skyways livery (turquois with red pin stripes), it is here on delivery ferry to the Bahamas where it became VP-BBR in February 1960. Later to N101AP and wrecked on the ground in a hurricane on 17 September 1989 at Saint Thomas, VI.

As well as plenty of derelict DC-3s at San Juan, there were several in good condition earning their keep, including this immaculate looking example (see also sister-ship N79B in a turquoise version of this eye-catching scheme). First served the RAF from 1944 as Dakota III FZ693, to BEA as G-AKII (then Cyprus Airways and Skyways), Bahamas A/w in 2.60 as VP-BBR, Saeta in 1971 as HC-AVQ and Air Sunshine in 1.77 as N77KW. After Carriba, to N101AP, stored at St Thomas 4.89 and possibly destroyed by hurricane
