The first 727 delivered to Lufthansa was D-ABIB in February 1964, sold in July 1974 as N68649 and going on to the FAA as N77 in September 1975, later changed to N97 and N46. Reg cancelled in 1994 and aircraft stored at Atlantic City with FAA Airport Technology R&D titles
