This registration was cancelled on 4th February 2008 when the aircraft was sold to Canada where it was re-registered C-GVWC to Vintage Wings of Canada on 2nd Jun 2008. On 3rd July 2019 whilst landing at Gatineau Airport, QC, (YND/CYND) the pilot experienced a loss of directional control and the aircraft sustained substantial damage when it ran into a drainage ditch. In August 2022 the remains were put up for sale and were bought by a company in Billings, MT., and restored to the USCAR as N106FG on 23 Mar 2023. It is believed that a restoration to flight status is ongoing.

Constructed as a FG-1D in 1945 by Goodyear with BuNo 92106. Sold by disposals at NAS Spokane, WA in May 1958. Displayed at Berryman Park, Bridgeport, WA until 1973 when it was moved to Chino for David Tallichet and registered N6897. Painted to represent an aircraft form VMF-214, Blacksheep squadron. Registration cancelled in Apr 1989. Completely restored between 1990 and 2003 and registered N106FG. To Canada as C-GVWC on 02 Jun 2008. Crashed on 03 Jul 2019, pilot injured. Remains put up for sale for a complete restoration in Aug 2022. Bought and registered back to N106FG on 23 Mar 2023.
