Converted and restored by Paul Griffiths back to GR1 in exactly the specification that it was in when in 1969 it won the Daily Mail cross Atlantic Air Race from the GPO tower in London to the Empire State building in New York. Currently on display at Brooklands Museum, UK.

Marked "20th Anniversary Trans-Atlantic Air Race". This Harrier XV741 participated in this race held in 1969, with participants travelling from the start point of the Empire State Building and finishing at the Post Office Tower, London. The RAF Harrier pilot was the race winner with the shortest overall elapsed time of 6 hours and 11 minutes. The 1969 race, sponsored by the Daily Mail, was commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first Atlantic crossing by Alcock and Brown.
