This Sikorsky S-76C++ was built in 2007 and imported to Canada in July 2022 by Eagle Copters of Calgary as C-GXYB and acquired by Helijet as C-GXHJ in January 2023, with the Canadian flag and the patriotic titles "True North Strong and Free" from the Canadian national anthem probably added in June 2025 prior to Canada Day on July 1. The helicopter was previously operated by Bristow Helicopters in Australia, the UK and USA. According to Rotorspot.nl, it has carried the registrations N774L, G-CGLS, VH-TZI [3rd], N763BG, C-GXYB, and most recently C-GXHJ.

ex Helijet - on 24 Oct 2023 C-GXHJ, operated by Helijet, was conducting a flight from Vancouver Harbour Heliport to Victoria Harbour Heliport with 2 crew and 12 passengers on board. During cruise flight, the aircraft was struck by lightning and entered an uncontrolled descent. The pilot-in-command regained control of the aircraft after losing approximately 2900 vertical feet. The aircraft continued the flight to Victoria and landed without incident. There were no reported injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
