This CASA 352 was originally with the Ejercito del Aire (EdA). In May 1976, it landed at Düsseldorf (DUS) and spent the next 14 years on the visitor's terrace of Pier B as D-CIAK. In 1991 it was lifted off the terrace and the following year transported to Switzerland for evaluating the possibility of a return to airworthiness. Restoration followed (primarily at Manching) and from 1997 to 2016 the plane was based at from Mönchengladbach (MGL) and flew, as HB-HOY, 7236 hours and 57 minutes and made 7688 landings. The plane now has a great home at MGL to spend her retirement years.

HB-HOT made an appearance at the 2012 EAA AirVenture. The aircraft crashed on the 4th of August 2018 at Piz Segnas in the Graubünden area of the Alps with the loss of all lives.

Ex Spanish Air Force T.2B-165, D-CIAK. Widely quoted as c/n 96, and officially registered as such. But recent research has confirmed that T.2B-165 was c/n 56. The number 96 may be its fuselage number.
