XX109 first flew in November 1972 and was the second production GR.1. It commenced flying with the A&AEE in May 1973 and was most famously used for a motorway takeoff and landing carried out on the M55. In 1986 it was flown into RAF Coltishall and retired to become a weapon-loading trainer. With the invasion of Kuwait, the preparations for war included trials of suitable camouflage and XX109 was selected to trial the desert pink scheme. Acquired by the Norwich museum in September 2004

Recently repainted in the colours of the now disbanded 54 Squadron this aircraft is on loan to the City of Norwich Aviation Museum. The airframe has been allocated RAF maintenance serial 8918M

The second production Jaguar S, preserved in heartening full colours and markings of No 54 Sqn, which became the RAF's first operational Jaguar unit on 1 January 1975 at nearby Coltishall.
