Afternoon arrival - EWY looking resplendent in the very recently applied Sharp Airlines livery on Sharp flight SH494 from Beverley.

Morning departure off Rw 23 - Sharp Airlines flight SH491 to Beverley. This was formerly VH-ANY with Air North and was one of three (at the time of writing) former Air North Metroliners operated out of Adelaide by Sharp Airlines joining VH-SRQ (formerly VH-ANA) and VH-SWV (formerly VH-ANW). Both the latter had also previous Australian and US registrations.

Delivered new 3rd Aug 1984 and transferred to CC Air (Charter Cruise Air) Nov 1989, then to Jersey European as G-JEAH 21st Jan 1991

Delivered in October 90 ex East-West Airlines. Re-registered G-JEAH Jan 91.

Shot at Sydney during my lunch hour in the days when one could wander around with a camera on the ramp, this was during the Australian pilots strike of December 1989. The aircraft was leased to C.C. Air from 14 September 1989 until 22 November 1989 and wore their titles under the window line. It is seen here in company with an Ansett B737 and sister ship VH-EWV wearing Spirit Air titles.

Registered as PH-EXL and entered the Australian as VH-EWY in the East-West livery.

The Queensland sunshine shows her "green & gold" livery to advantage. At the time of this image she was under the care of TAA (Trans-Australia Airlines) and sits with another TAA Friendship on the Brisbane (Eagle Farm) ramp.

VH-EWY's time with East-West was brief, five years from August 1984 to August 1989. It was sold in the UK as G-JEAH.
