Delivered new in 1958 and sold to Sudflug as D-ABAD in August 1963. On 7 December 1968, while taking part in the Biafra Airlift as VR-BCY, it crashed while attempting a single engine emergency landing at Uli, Nigeria.

This Seven Seas opened KLM's polar route Amsterdam - Tokyo, with ANC as the only stop, winds permitting. The route was later extended to Biak, Netherlands New Guinea.
