Delivered to United Air Lines as CV340-31 N73133 in 1953. Sold and converted to a CV580 in 1968 then to Aero Spacelines in 1969 and stored at Marana, AZ. To Farmers Union Travel Club in 1972 then to Aspen Airways in 1975. In United Express colours by 1989. To Kelowna Flightcraft as C-FKFM in 1992 then to Conair Aviation in 2000 and converted to a firebomber. To Buffalo Airways in 2022 and used for parts at Red Deer, AB.

Sold to Kelowna Flightcraft in Canada as C-FKFM in June 1992, it later served with AllCanada Express until acquired by Conair in September 2000 and converted to fire bomber configuration, becoming Air Tanker 54. When the CV580 fire bombers were withdrawn at the end of the 2022 fire season it was bought by Buffalo Airways, reportedly for its engines.

Later it went to Conair as a retardant bomber then was sold to Buffalo Airways at their Red Deer/AB base in 2022, so likely used for engine spares.
