South Coast Airways titles faintly visible

Ex 42-23936 (USAAF), OK-WDU, OK-WZB, 23936 (US Navy), F-YGGC, F-GEOM. When the aircraft was flown to the Aviodrome in 2006, it was the intention to operate it for scenic flights. Unfortunately this plan could never be executed. After the 2011 bankruptcy of the Aviodrome, the aircraft was acquired by Classic Wings as a volunteer restoration project. Paperwork and financial issues proved too much of a hurdle and the aircraft was transported to the Warmuseum in Overloon (The Netherlands) in December 2017.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-23936 in 1943. To CSA as OK-WDU in 1947. Later OK-WHA and OK-WZB. To the French Navy as 36 around 1960. To F-GEOM in 1985 then to G-DAKK in 1994. To Lelystad for the Aviodrome in 2006. Fuselage to Weeze and wings and tail to Teuge for restoration in 2013. Moved to the Overloon War Museum in 2017 for continued restoration.
