This is the prototype Airedale which had made its first flight two weeks earlier and here getting quite a lot of attention from the crowd. Its Lycoming O-360 engine was replaced with a Continental GO-300 for the 1961 SBAC Display and it was re-designated A-111 Airedale. This turned out to be a bad idea and the aircraft was withdrawn in April 1963.
