The Siebel Flugzeugwerke were located at Halle/Saale and produced the original Si202 "Hummel" from 1938 to 1941; built numbers vary between 38 and 65. None of those survived. Shown here is the sole replica which is in existance worldwide. Instead of the original 45-60 hp engine, this one here is powered by an 117 hp, seven cylinder radial engine.

First flown on 26 May 1938, the Si 202 Hummel (bumblebee) was a wooden light sport aircraft with side-by-side seating.
