First flown on 26 May 1938, the Si 202 Hummel (bumblebee) was a wooden light sport aircraft with side-by-side seating. The Si 202B had a 50-hp Zundapp engine and D-EMDR set some altitude records in its class early in 1939. Photo assumed taken around that time.
