This Fighting Falcon has quite a history. It was delivered as a F-16A to the US Air Force as 82-1022. It flew with the 309th TFS ('HS') and the 704th TFS ('TX') before it was stored at AMARG with inventory code AAFG0222 on 12 Sep'94. It was selected for sale to Portugal and left the storage depot on 17 Aug'99. It was first stored at Montreal with serial 15130 before its Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU). Then assigned as a F-16AM to Esq201/301 of the Portuguese AF. It was sold to Romania as 1609 and was delivered on 29 Sep'17. And here participating in a great colourscheme in the fourth TLP of 2025.

Seen in the static park at an International Air Tattoo, The aircraft is spotlessly clean and a reflection in the nose shows a C5 Galaxy with its nose open and a queue of people waiting to walk through.
