Brand new display item for the Pima museum. This Lodestar was acquired by them in 1972, on loan from the Smithsonian, but it remained stored in the museum's restoration yard for almost 50 years until restoration began in the second half of 2021. On 31 Jan 2024 it was finally placed on display in the bare metal US Navy markings seen here.

Recently put on display for following restoration. Delivered to the US Navy as Bu12481 in 1943 and struck off in October 1946. Later became NC9200H, ZS-DAX, SA-AAF and N15SA. Last flown as such by State Airlines before being acquired by the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in the early 1970s and loaned to the museum at Pima. Officially donated to the museum in 1985. After many years in storage, restoration commenced in 2021.
