Early rotation of this Cargo 747 as it was only a positioning flight from Amsterdam to Cologne. It took this crew 25 minutes taxi time from the Sierra ramp to the Polderbaar, Runway 36L, then 38 minutes to fly to Cologne.

Delivered new to Singapore Airlines in June '93 (9V-SMS). Over to Cathay Pacific Cargo and converted to freigther (B-KAH) in September 2008. In July 2012 over to Air China Cargo. Stored Beijing in March 2014 and two months later ferried to Mojave, fur further storage and scrap

Ex 9V-SMI, N223BA, VT-AIQ and N223BA again before conversion to a freighter. Was leased a few years to Air Cargo Germany before storage at Teruel for 4 years. To EW-511TQ with Ruby Star in 2018 and to VQ-BWT with Longtail Aviation in November 2020.

Operator is Longtail Aviation (very small titles on nose). Logo commemorates 50 years of the Boeing 747. Flew with Singapore Airlines 9V-SMI, Air India VT-AIQ, and after conversion to freighter, Martinair Holland PH-MPQ, Air Cargo Germany D-ACGC and Ruby Star EW-511TQ. Joined Longtail Aviation in Nov 2020. When it departed MST, a few hours later, soon after departure the number one engine exploded with parts raining down on a village near the airport which caused some damage to vehicles and property. The aircraft went into the hold to dump fuel and then diverted to Liege, owing to its much longer runway, where it made a safe and uneventful landing.
