Assigned to NASA Langley Research Center and in their hangar. Built in 1960. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code FN201 in 1992. Returned to service in 1993. Stored again at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code FN203 in 1994. Left in 1994. Converted to QF-106B drone AD282. Withdrawn from use due to a cracked intaake duct in 1997. Sold in 2000 and moved to El Paso, TX. Noted in Bissell Auto & Body yard in St.Louis, MO in 2014. Still there in 2021.

After its FIS service this Dart was converted to a drone and flew with the 82nd Aerial Target Squadron. It then went to AMARC with the inventory number AD282 but is now part of the Bissell Auto & Body Co. collection in St. Louis. The other Dart tail belongs to QF-106A 59-0047 and the two respective fuselages are stored on the opposite side of the yard.
