Formerly PK-ADD with KNILM and flown to Australia in 1942 to escape the Japanese advance through Indonesia. Impressed by the USAAF, it was operated by Australian National Airways (note small "ANA" on the nose) with the call sign VHCXC. It was given a temporary serial of 41-426 and later, after it was withdrawn from use, an official serial of 44-83232 and the official type designation C-110.
ANA bought the DC-5 after the war and it became VH-ARD. After a couple of changes of ownership, it went to Israel in 1948 as a makeshift bomber. It ended its days in a children's playground. Scanned from the original negative, now held by Bill Gray. Photographer's name unknown.

EX RAF VS316. At old Eagle Farm Airport. Prentice was being flown from Britain to New Zealand where it became ZK-DJC.

Delivered to TAA in 1968. By the time the picture was taken it had acquired the longer Series 200 nose. Sold to Talair in Papua New Guinea in 1975 as P2-TGT.

Registration cancelled as withdrawn from use 1990

Operated at Woomera missile range by British Defence Ministry, which donated it to the Queensland Air Museum. Last flight was from Woomera to Archerfield.

VH-EEF was sold in the United States in 1985 as N1006U

First registered in 1962, VH-CXT was struck off the register in August 2011 after being damaged at Moree, NSW. Has since been repaired.

Registered in June 1970 and current as at August 2017.
