Ex N662BR. Independence Air was formerly Atlantic Coast Airlines and operated as United Express. After United withdrew the contract, Atlantic Coast restructured itself as a low-cost carrier, Independence Air. Operations began on June 16, 2004. It ceased operations on 5 Jan 2006. This aircraft went to NAV Canada in Aug 2007.

Ex VT-IOA (Indus Air) and N644BR (Independence Air and Atlantic Coast Airlines). Indus Air was a short-lived Indian regional domestic airline which commenced operations in mid Dec 2006 and ceased operations in Apr 2007. It went to ALMA de Mexico in Oct 2007 as XA-UIE.

Ex Sabah Air 9M-ATC, with a temporary Canadian registration doing a spot of crew training prior to delivery to Heli Europe later in the month as LX-HRR.

Back on its feet again after the nose would not extend for landing YZF 5 Jun 2007. The nose gear had frozen in place as a result of picking up slush on the runway departing Gjoa Haven. The damage was minimal but here it is awaiting for some minor repairs before returning to service.

Note the flat tyre. The previous evening I had flown into YHY (from Yellowknife) on this a/c. I watched it depart YHY a little later and noticed smoke coming from the port engine. The aircraft made a circuit and landed, bursting its starboard tyre on landing. It was still awaiting attention when I took this photo the next morning. This same aircraft suffered an accident after take off from Yellowknife 19 Aug 2013. This time it was the starboard engine just as the aircraft rotated. A combination of being overweight and the prop not fully feathering resulted in an off airport emergency landing.

This was an old friend I had photographed back in Abbotsford BC in Jun 1986 when it was still operated by the The Department of Transportation Canada (as CF-CUE). It was acquired by Buffalo Airways in Feb 95. It wasn't until 2008 that it was seen in the Buffalo livery and once again showing CF-CUE.

Became TC-TKM with the Turkish Air Force in Mar 2009.

Note that in this photo it does carry titles. To Turkey (as C-FTXB) in 2009 to train Turkish Air Force crews. Damaged whilst crew training at Izmir 9 Apr 2009 when the crew forgot to lower the gear. This incident was featured in the TV series Ice Pilot. Repaired and returned to Yellowknife. Back to Turkey and registered to the Turkish Air Force circa Nov 2009 as TC-TKJ.

With "Diamond Jubilee 95" titles on the nose.
