Carrier Air Wing TEN ('NM') was established in 1986 but due to budgets cuts the CVW was disestablished with most of its squadrons in 1988. It only made one cruise on board the USS Independence. 160126 was assigned to Sea Control Squadron (VS) 35 "Blue Wolves", a squadron that survived the cuts. VS-35 was last attached to CVW-14/NK when it was deactivated at NAS North Island (CA) on 31 Mar'05. Here a rare picture of a VS-35 Viking with that short-lived 'NM'-tailcode. Alameda saw all six S-3As of VS-35 for a fuel-stop on 9 Sep'87. 160126 was last used by VX-30 and retired in Feb'11, fate unknown

Three of these VS-38 Hoovers came over to do FCLP's at Miramar, but sadly not even 700 had any color

S-3B from VS-24 came in as "SCOUT 08" and placed in the static line at the 93' Cherry Pt show

VS-41 had custody of this former VRC-50 US-3A and put their markings on it even though it was short lived

VRC-50 had given VS-41 a couple of these US-3A's and they were flown briefly, with this one still retaining its VRC-50 markings
