Departing Eindhoven (just when a cloud covers the sun...) while temporary operating from this airbase. This Cameri FACO (Italy) built Lightning II was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 11 January 2024 and was only recently modified with the rare dragchute housing in between the vertical stabilo's.

One of the last delivered F-35s (by Aug'25) to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) is this 041. It arrived in the Netherlands on 6 Mar'25 and received only recently - as the first Dutch F-35A - a 312 Squadron marking. In 1951, the 312 was established. A year later it flew with 25 Thunderjets. In 1956, 312 Squadron started the conversion to the Thunderstreak. In the period from Oct'65 to early '66, the F-104G Starfighter was introduced. On 27 Jul'84, the first F-16s for 312 arrived. They flew up to Sep'24. In Oct'24, the F-35 took over the task. 312 is nicknamed Bonzo.

F-041 has become the first F-35 to be painted with the markings of 312 sqn. Today was its first flight with its new markings.

Not for cargo, but the box is housing the dragchute. The Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) is the second Lightning II operator using such a trunk, following Norway. F-027 was delivered to the KLu on 31 August 2022. From that moment, up to the moment of this photo, 313sq at Volkel owned it.

From that moment, up to the moment of this photo, 313sq at Volkel owned it.

Unmarked F-35 with serial F-035 in take-off with F-027 in the back ground. It was training at Eindhoven during a remote operation training exercise. It flew with a HAMMER call-sign. The Cameri FACO (Italy) built F-035 (FMS serial 22-5759) was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 27 September 2023. From that moment, up to the moment of this photo, 313sq at Volkel owned it.

This F-35A was delivered in 2022 and has FMS serial 20-5656. It is seen here approaching Eindhoven AB for a visit, while operating from its nearby home base of Volkel AB.

Delivered in 2022, this F-35A has FMS 20-5661. It is seen landing at Eindhoven, visiting from its nearby home base of Volkel.

Although this aircraft was delivered in 2023, it is still unmarked when seen here landing at Eindhoven as part of a three ship visit to that base. Operated by 313sqn from Volkel AB. This F-35 has its type as serial, and is FMS 22-5759.
