Seen just after arriving at the gate on a chilly winter evening in CMH, this aircraft was delivered to AA as CV240 N94237 in June 1948. It was sold to Central Airlines in 1960 and rr, and converted to CV600 in August 1966.

Close parking dictated a creative solution to get a full length shot of this Convair.

This CV-600 was lost in an accident in Maine with Bar Harbor Airlines in 1989.

This Convair was originally delivered as a CV-240 to American Airlines in 11.48 (same reg) as "Flagship Kalamazoo" and was sold to Trans Texas in 2.62, being converted to Dart power in 1.67. After storage as captured here, bought by SMB Stage Lines (see my later photo) and then Kitty Hawk in 10.91 and Rhoades in 4.00; b/u Columbus, OH

Built as Convair 240-5 VH-TAR for Trans-Australia in September 1948. Converted to Convair 600 with turboprops in 1965. N123SC from December 1970 until sale to Aerolineas Colonia as CX-BJL in April 1976.
