This is one of nine airframes seized the 8th of October 2020 by the Paraguayan Police after an operation against drug trafficking . The other ones being ZP-BIX, ZP-BQF, ZP-BEH, ZP-TZN, ZP-JTU, ZP-TZZ, ZP-BMM and, surprisingly, a helicopter from the Buenos Aires Police that, according to the authorities, didn't have permission to be at Paraguay . Research by the authorities lead to dismantle a private airfield in Areguá as this was the departure location of a burnt aircraft found at El Chaco one week before. The pilot was found buried and riddled with bullets near the plane whose payload had been previously removed (presumably 450Kg of cocaine).

This old CL-600 (delivered March 1982) was used for drugs smuggling activities in September 2020 and landed on an illegal airstrip on the banks of the Catatumbo River, in the Sur del Lago Maracaibo region in Venezuela close to the border with Colombia. After landing the aircraft was set on fire, and the burned wreck of this Challenger was discovered on 27 September 2020.

Delivered as LV-ADO in 1949 and acquired by Líneas Aéreas Paraguayas in 1962. Withdrawn from use by 1972 and stored at Asunción. Placed on display as seen here circa 1997, but looking much worse now than nine years earlier.

This Texan (or Harvard) was obtained in June 1979 from the South African AF (ex 7715). It was last noted in 1988, and thought to have been scrapped since. The aircraft is now on display at the south entrance of the base, where it appeared in early 2018. It is possible that it is actually another airframe, carrying a fake serial.

This C-47A started life as 42-92725 of the USAAF, delivered in Feb 1944. In the late 1970s it briefly served with the Chile Air Force as 969, before being transferred to the Paraguay Air Force in the early 1980s as 2030. It reportedly suffered a mishap of some kind on 24 Nov 1994 and was wriiten off, ending up in storage here at Campo Grando AB. The aircraft does not show apparent signs of damage.

Delivered as 43-49837 in Jan 1945 and immediately transferred to the RAF on lend-lease as KN230. Returned to the US in Nov 1947 and entered a civil career in the US, Venezuela and Brazil. In Sep 1969 it was transferred to the Brazil Air Force, serialled 2090. To the Paraguay Air Force as 2032 in the early 1990s and stored at Campo Grando AB as seen here since 2000.
