The Belgian Mirages were withdrawn from in 1993 and put into storage. Some modernized ones were sold to Chile and the other remained in the Weelde hangars until the French company SAGEM saw an opportunity and bought over 20 pieces. The Belgian Mirages were withdrawn from in 1993 and put into storage. Some modernized ones were sold to Chile and the other remained in the Weelde hangars until the French company SAGEM saw an opportunity and bought over 20 pieces.
