This new K-1200 K-Max for Mountain Blade Runner was displayed on the Kaman booth at HAI Heli-Expo 2022 held March 9-11, 2022 in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas, Texas. When the aircraft flew out of the convention center on March 11 it carried the FAA registration N12001 which is being used by Kaman for flight testing prior to customer delivery.

Built in 1994, this is one of the first K-Max coming off the assembly line. It was on the FAA register as N135KA for two years before being sold to Cariboo Chilcotin Helicopters Ltd at Lillooet in BC, Canada in April of 1996. In May 2005, the company was re-named to HeliQwest Aviation Inc. This airframe already reached an incredible 15'000 flight hours in June of 2008, and it looks like new in this February 2020 picture.

This K-Max was previously N1200Q but placed onto the Swiss register a week or so prior to this shot. It is now operated by Rolex Helicopters and was buzzing about a rather quiet PAD for some time, so perhaps pilot training.

Imported new in 1995 and cancelled on export as N202WM in 2003.
