This J-57 'stovepipe' engined C-135 is actually an USAF frame but was on loan to the USN and assigned to the Fleet Electronic Warfare Support Group and operated and maintained by Chrysler Technologies Airborne Systems at Waco, TX. It was retired to AMARG during February 1996.

This row of old C-135s sit in the desert with the Santa Catalina mountains as a backdrop waiting on their final days. The foremost frame served with the 4950th Test Wing/FISTA (Flying Infrared Signatures and Technology Aircraft) based at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH before being retired to AMARG during Dec. 93 where it is stored with the PCN Inventory No. AACA0095.

This C-135 arrived at AMARG during Jan. 92 and is stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AACA0008.
