Operated a network stretching from Hobart to Papua New Guinea. The Hobart terminus was the navy base HMAS Huon, now closed. VH-TOB sold in the US as N9946F in 1954. Remained on the US register until 2012, 54 years after its last flight. Now preserved.

"City of Funchal" served Aquila on schedules to Madeira, Italy and elsewhere between 04.54 and being damaged in a gale at Santa Margherita Ligure near Genoa on September 26, 1956. It was previously RAF NJ201 and G-AGWU.

Ordered as a Sunderland Mk IV for the RAF, completed as a Seaford and then converted to a Solent for BOAC, this British flying boat ended up in the United States in 1954. It appears in the Indiana Jones movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, but is incomplete.

"Singapore" ex BOAC in storage at Hamworthy Quay. Sold in November 1955 to South Pacific Airlines, Oakland, California, as N9947F.

BOAC's Solent 3 "Southampton" in storage at Hamworthy Quay. Sold to Portugal in late 1958 and operated in British marks until withdrawal in late 1959.
