Joined 331 Skv new in 1963 as 12263 (derived from FY62 USAF MAP serial) coded 'FN-M' and operated as 263 from 1972 till 1981. Transferred to the Turkish AF as 4-263 and later 9-263; some reports state w/o 4.4.85

Delivered to the RBAF by SABCA in 1964 and operated by 10 Wing till placed in store at Koksijde during 1980. Sold to Taiwan in 1990. FX84 behind is preserved in the USA

Preserved at PFW Aerospace. During World War I the Pfalz fighters were built here.

Joseph Stalin died in March 1953, one year before the first flight of the F-104, but he can still study this remarkable design from his pedestal in Zruč. This CF-104D got the tail of 104634. Morava OK-HXN is also seen.

With the F-104G still under development, the first Starfighters delivered to the Luftwaffe were thirty F-104F trainers, these having the new J79 engine but no radar or armament.

Too many planes are suspended from the ceiling in the Military Museum, but I don't mind this stunning display of the F-104, the 'Manned Missile' - in this case unmanned. The T-tail is almost as big as the tiny wing in this view.
