Being readied to take it to the "60th Anniversary" of the types first flight which was held at Fleming Park, Eastleigh on 3rd August 2008(nearest venue to Eastleigh Airport where Saunders-Roe used to have their facility) The tailboom was fitted just to take a photo' As you can see the tailboom was much too long for transportation and it had to be left behind as it wouldn't fit on the trailer or in the towing vehicle!! Since this photo was taken it has had glazing panels and doors fitted. The engine panels have always been left off to enable visitors to inspect the engine & ancillary equipment.
