The Saab J29 was not the first Swedish built jet fighter, but the first one built in considerable numbers. A rather cluttered shot of a nonetheless great looking Sk37 Viggen trainer. This aircraft with serial 37805 is preserved inside the excellent F15 Flygmuseum in Söderhamn, where the history of this Swedish air force base comes to life. The museum is located in a former maintenance hangar of this former air base. One of the features of the tall Viggen was that it could fold its tail as seen in this picture, to fit in the maintenance hangars as well as underground hangars.

The Swedish Air Force has a name to uphold when it comes to special paintschemes. Saab 37 Viggens appeared in a variety of colours over the years. AJ37 37009 is one of the oldest Viggens still around, it was first delivered in 1972, and was adorned with this eye-catching blue paintscheme. It attracts visitors to the excellent F15 Flygmuseum on the former air base of Söderhamn.

The first Saab 105 / Sk60 was delivered to the Swedish Air Force in 1965. The Sk60C was the two-seat ground attack/reconnaissance version for the Swedish Air Force with extended camera nose. One new-build prototype and 29 conversions from Sk60A were delivered. Serial 60004 is on display at the Flygmuseet F21 wearing the unit markings of F21.
