Hemmed in by lampposts, trees and hedges at Shaheed Smarak Park, Noida, this Iskra should be effectively camouflaged in a few years. The Iskra was inducted in the IAF in Oct. 1975 and served as a stage two trainer for many years for pilots selected for MiG squadrons. The Iskra jet training fleet was decommissioned from the IAF in 2004.

It was used to good effect in the ground-attack role in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, flying around 1,500 sorties.

After loading some equipment to help the Indian people in their effort to combat Covid-19 the Indian Air Force Globemaster III returned back to India.

Arriving on runway 27 to pick up medical equipment, to combat the COVID-19 pandemic which was running out of control in India.
