This aircraft is seen here about to take off during the 2006 airshow but it suffered an engine problem and had to abort and the reverser buckets are just deploying. It was destroyed when it crashed into the sea on 24th October 2006

THis aircraft sits on the dump at Cranwell, a home for nesting birds. It carries an RAF Maintenance serial 9259M

Built by Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft in April 1955. Serving 800 Squadron Fleet Air Arm based at RNAS Brawdy. Retired in February 1968.

Thunderbirds are go? The Belvedere must be one of the quirkiest jet age aircraft to have reached operational service - 26 copies were built. Its impression of great size is mostly through clumsy design - it carried the same payload as a an early CH-46 Sea Knight or S-61.
