This aircraft was operated and maintained in taxyable condition with the Aircraft Maintenance Instruction Flight at RAF Cranwell. Carrying an RAF black training livery this example bears the Saint markings of 16 Squadron which is actually a Grob Tutor training squadron based in the adjacent hangars. The squadron got the nickname of the Saints after it was formed at St Omer in 1915. This unit and its aircraft have since been moved to RAF Cosford
