The Cygnet first flew in 1937 and was an all-metal trainer/tourer aircraft. Production was stopped by the start of WWII after only 11 had been built. Seen in the Museum of Flight

Once part of the Cosford collection, when the aircraft was eventually broken up, the front section was beautifully restored and is now displayed in the Museum of Flight

Though I prefer the earlier, 'high-back' Spitfires, there are worse aeroplanes to look at of course. Note the 20-mm Hispano cannon.

This aircraft was originally preserved at RAF Cosford. It is now stored in a dismantled state at the Scottish Museum of Flight

The Trident 1 pioneered automatic landings with a Smiths autopilot driving the controls via a triplexed hydraulic system. G-ARPH was first flown in 1964 and finally retired in 1982. She was broken up only last year. Her cockpit is now here in the Museum of Flight.
