The Trident 1 pioneered automatic landings with a Smiths autopilot driving the controls via a triplexed hydraulic system. G-ARPH was first flown in 1964 and finally retired in 1982. She was broken up only last year. Her cockpit is now here in the Museum of Flight. This photo was added on 25 July 2017, and has since been viewed 330 times. |
