'Discover America" was one of the many local travel clubs which formed with recently retired airliners. Many were short lived, and simply applied new titles over the airline livery. This Connie was damaged beyond repair during landing in the Dominican Republic in 1988.

Gimme a break! A splendid aircraft parked between two buildings. Delivered new to Lufthansa as D-ALAN, now preserved in Polk City, Florida.

Rio Airways began flying in 1967 and received this Twin Otter January 19, 1979.The aircraft moved to South America in 1983 as HK-2889X with Aeroejectivos Colombia. Sold to Helicol in March 1994, it unfortunately crashed during a VFR approach in limited visibility at El Yopal, Colombia July 4, 1991.

Powers Air AS350 was imported as N5768B. It suffered a non-fatal crash February 23, 1994 with another operator in the Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii. The helicopter was written off when it was caught in a down draft at high altitude. An attempt was made to turn away from a mountain, but there was insufficient power to prevent contact with the ground.

Here filling a water tank between flights, this DC-9 was delivered to Trans Texas Airways January 1968. In October the airline was renamed Texas International Airlines and this color scheme with the lone star on the tail was introduced. Merging with Continental in 1982, the aircraft flew on until sold in 1984. Flying in the USA as a freighter until 2002, the DC-9 went to Lineas Aereas Suramericanas as HK-4246X. It, unfortunately, crashed during an approach neat Mitu, Colombia December 18, 2003.
