FAA data gives an activation date of February 2017 for this heliport, however this specific pad is already visible in imagery from August 2016. Two earlier helipads at this hospital preceded this one, both slightly to the northeast.

The first evidence for this grass airfield is from 1927. This photo was taken in 1928 and the biplane is believed to be a Kreider-Reisner Challenger C-2 aircraft with a Kinner D-5 engine. It carries no visible markings. (This may be because, at the time, The State of Pennsylvania had jurisdiction over things aeronautical and issued aircraft license numbers in the format P-### .) In 1945, John Van Sant bought the Silver Star Airport and renamed it to the Old Star Airport. The airport closed about 1973 and the Oxford Valley Shopping Mall was built, obliterating its existence.

Located 5 miles south of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Used as a Flying Training Command airfield and air navigation training establishment between August 1942 and June 1945

Mirim Airport is no longer used by Helicopters. Ultralight aircraft are offered here for tourist sightseeing flights.

This is the first evidence found for the airfield although it looks to have been in existence for a while judging by the track marks in the grass. The building in the far right hand corner is a two-bay hangar (see Photo ID 684841). A pilot school run by William H. Engle and trading as Silver Star Aircraft Service operated from here starting in 1930. In 1945, John Van Sant bought the Silver Star Airport and renamed it to the Old Star Airport. The airport closed about 1973 and the Oxford Valley Shopping Mall was built, obliterating its existence.

Located near Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. Opened in April 1942, Closed in July 1947 and returned back to farmland.

First record of this airfield is from a 1930 Aviation Map when it was called Keystone Aircraft Field. Fleetwings Aircraft bought Keystone Aircraft and moved here in 1941. The airfield was then known as Fleetwings Field. Fleetwings was bought by Kaiser Industries in 1943 and the airfield was renamed again to Kaiser Field. The photo shows the transformation from grass airfield to an airport with paved runways 19 & 23 shown here under construction, with 29 just beginning; all paid for by the U.S. Navy. In the 1950s 3M bought the Kaiser factory which heralded a name change to 3M Airport. This situation continued with general aviation operations until 1980 when the airport was closed.

RAF Sharjah's ATC preserved at the "Al Mahatta" museum. The ATC building was not open to the public at the time of my visit. A lot of building work going on around it!! The "old" airfield closed in 1976. The museum opened in March 2000.

Looking north with 8 stored BAe/Avro 146s and 9 Embraer 145s. A couple of the 146s are ex Air Dolomiti and some are ex BA Connect. Some of the 145s are also ex BA Connect.

Though only officially activated and given an identifier by the FAA in May of 2022, this helipad has been extant since the hospital was opened in 2012.

Officially activated by the FAA in March 2007, this particular pad is visible under construction in aerial images from July of 2006. A previous helipad was located on the south side of the hospital's property from about the year 2000 until this one was opened. Construction during 2022 meant that this pad was briefly closed, and a temporary one was used to the southwest of this one.
