Smoky touchdown relatively far down rw27R for this BA 744.

Emirates 001 slows down on rw27R after the 7h 30 flight from DXB.

Quite a few points of interest in this photo, taken from bmi 319 G-DBCC operating BD005 as we lift off rw27R for Glasgow. Note the number of 380 gates being constructed at the T5C satellite, one of which is already in use by a 772. The extra width neccessary to accommodate a 380 is evident when comparing the 380 stand beside the 744/346/777 stand occupied by the Qatari Airbus. Note also the Qatari, Brunei and UAE Govt. aircraft parked up on the South Cargo aprons.

A very late landing on Rwy 18R. She is still airborne beyond exit V1, after over 2100 m (6890 ft) of runway, although still with 1700 m (5577 ft) to spare.

Arriving from Liverpool at 9 PM on one of the longest days of the year.
