This Skylane isn't going far powered by a 44 gallon drum! It's an ex jump-ship, as seen by the titles and the home-made step on the starboard wheel. It is currently de-registered but was last registered to an owner in Mackay, Qld. Before coming to Australia in 1969, it was N71849 in the USA.
'Bourke' just airborne off Runway 34. This aircraft was built for British Airways and carried the Boeing 'trade plate' reg N1788B for its first flight on 20 May 1990.
