Built in 1972, imported in 1988 and here in later operations with Thunder Airlines. It was wrecked on 14 June 1999 taking off from Thunder Bay, due to improper installation of the stabilizer pitch trim actuators. (To quote the report: "After getting airborne, the aircraft pitched up to approx. 70 degrees, reaching a height of about 500 feet. It then rolled to the left, pitched steeply nose-down, and descended to the ground within the confines of the airport." All occupants escaped injury from what must have been a terrifying experience.)

This photo shows this long-serving flight inspection aircraft in its final colour scheme, returning home to the HdH hangar after a trip to inspect the RAAF Tindal navigation aids. This also happened to be the 75th anniversary of the formation of Australia's Civil Aviation Branch of the Department of Defence (later DCA and so on to Airservices Australia). Registered new to the Department of Transport on 25 Feb 1977 and sold overseas in 1997.
