Delivered to the USAF in 1980 and first assigned to the Wolfhouds at Soesterberg AB (the Netherlands) from 30 July 1980. The Eagle never left the sole royal Tactical Fighter Sqruadron of the USAF. The Eagle was sold to Saudi Arabia as 4207 and left Dutch soil on 24 September 1990. Within the Royal Saudi Air Force is was assigned to 42sq, the serial later changed to 609 when it was assigned to 6sq and then to 209 with 2sq.

About to touch down! Delivered to the USAF in 1980, and served since the 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron "Wolfhounds" from Soesterberg air base. The aircraft was sold from this base to Saudi Arabia as 4208 on 19 September 1990. It was later reserialed to 1301.

Besides four Luftwaffe F-4Fs, it also saw the arrival of 7x EG F-15s of the 56th TFW, a 10th MAS Sherpa, a Portuguese C-130, 2x Dutch F-16s, and locally based 32nd TFS Eagles and 334sq F27s. This F-4F (FMS 72-1248) flew first on 22 Sep'75, was delivered to the Luftwaffe 23 Oct'75. The spook made its last flight on 8 Feb'03 when serving the German training unit at Holloman AFB (NM). With 4658,4 flight hours logged, it was withdrawn at Holloman and eventually moved as a range target at the White Sands Missile range

First flown with Fokker test registration PH-FBY on 4 November 1960. Delivered to the KLu on 17 January 1961. It was withdrawn from use 15 October 1993 and stored at Eindhoven. The flown to Soesterberg on 10 February 1994 and stored. Moved to the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum on 2 February 1997 and placed on display in demo markings. Moved to the ROC technical school in Hoofddorp, Netherlands on 10 June 2010 for restoration by students, returned to Soesterberg 4 October 2013 for storage. Painted in camo markings in September 2014 and since on display the Nationaal Militair Museum.

This F-4F (FMS 72-1213) flew first on 18 Dec'74, was delivered to the Luftwaffe 29 Jan'75 and was sadly scrapped at Jever, after 33 years of military service by June 2008.

Seven F-15Cs of the 56th Tactical Fighter Wing, homebased at Eglin AFB (FL) arrived at Soesterberg as part of the Coronet Trigger deployment. Familiy model F-15D 85-0132, delivered to the USAF on 2 January 1987, was one of them.

Seven F-15Cs of the 56th Tactical Fighter Wing, homebased at Eglin AFB (FL) arrived at Soesterberg as part of the Coronet Trigger deployment. 86-0156, delivered to the USAF on 31 July 1988, was one of them. The Eagle was assigned to the 48th FW at RAF Lakenheath (UK) with the 494rd FS from 18 Feb'94. The Eagle became a double MiG-killer when Maj. Jeff 'Claw" Hwang with call sign DIRK 21 shot down two Serbian MiG-29 (serials 18113 and 18114) with AIM-120Bs during Operationa Allied Force over Bosnia on 26 March 1999. From Apr'22 the Eagle started to serve the 114th FS of the Oregon ANG.

It first served the 33rd TFW up to late 1993, but was later a familiar Eagle at RAF Lakenheath (UK) when it was assigned to the 48th FW from 9 March 1994 onwards. It returned CONUS in late 2021 and was assigned to the 122nd FS of the Louisiana Air National Guard.

Great to see it here in an experimental Luftwaffe, US Egypt one style, colour scheme.

This F-4F (FMS 72-1116) flew first on 2 Aug'73, was delivered to the Luftwaffe 19 Sep'73. First assigned as a traning aircraft with the 35th TFW at George with 'GA' tailcode. Moved to Germany for service in the Luftwaffe in early 1978 and eventually scrapped at Hopsten in Jul'02. Great to see it here with that striking tail.

This 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron only showed its CR tailcode. The aircraft was delivered to the USAF in 1980 and directly assigned to the Wolfhounds of the USAFE at Soesterberg. It served the sole USA royal squadron up to 14 April 1992 when if left unmarked for CONUS. 0027 sadly crashed into Gulf of Mexico, some 100 miles south of Tyndall AFB (FL). pilot ejected safely, Why it was nearly unmarked in June 1990 is unclear to me, maybe it just received a new paint job.

The Sherpa's of the 10th Military Airlift Squadron, based at Zweibrucken (Germany), were a regular visitor at the Royal American base Soesterberg. This 40472 was delivered to the USAF on 8 November 1985. It was transfered to the US Forest Service as N178Z on 26 March 1991.

Seven F-15Cs of the 56th Tactical Fighter Wing, homebased at Eglin AFB (FL) arrived at Soesterberg as part of the Coronet Trigger deployment. 85-0117, delivered to the USAF on 24 March 1987, was one of them.

Delivered to the USAF and its 33rd Tfactical Fighter Wing at Egline AFB on 19 May 1988. The Eagle is seen here arriving over the Soesterberg threshold while participating in an Europeandeployment named Coronet Trigger. The Eagle was damaged during an engine explosion on 1 August 1992, but repaired. From 1994, it was assigned to the 48th TFW at RAF Lakenheath (UK). Its career ended in the North Sea, some 75 miles east off Flamborough Head, East Yorkshire (UK) on 15 June 2020 when it was on a local training mission, sadly killing the pilot.

This F27 carried once Fokker test registration PH-FCA before it was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) with serial C-12 in 1961. The aircraft is preserved at Eindhoven air base and marked as C-8 from 1996 onwards.
