It was a fun day, with constantly changing weather conditions, that 21 June 1990. Besides four Luftwaffe F-4Fs, it also saw the arrival of 7x EG F-15s of the 56th TFW, a 10th MAS Sherpa, a Portuguese C-130, 2x Dutch F-16s, and locally based 32nd TFS Eagles and 334sq F27s. This F-4F (FMS 72-1248) flew first on 22 Sep'75, was delivered to the Luftwaffe 23 Oct'75. The spook made its last flight on 8 Feb'03 when serving the German training unit at Holloman AFB (NM). With 4658,4 flight hours logged, it was withdrawn at Holloman and eventually moved as a range target at the White Sands Missile range This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
