Correct serial in 53-5096. Relocated to Joint base Elmendorf-Richardson when Kulis closed in 2011.

Delivered to the USAAF in December 1943 as 42-100857. Civilianized as NC70 and later N23 & N41 operating for the CAA/FAA. Written off in a ground accident at Kenai in November 1975 and although registered as N2273K never flew as such and the aircraft was later transported to Kulis ANGB as part of the National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program. Later painted in false Alaska ANG markings as '0315497'. Moved to Elmendorf Air Force Base when Kulis ANGB closed in 2011.

Displayed on the gate at Kulis Alaska ANGB at Anchorage International. When the base closed in 2010, the gate guards, including the Sabre, were re-located to Elmendorf. Painted as 12807 to represent 51-2807 an F-86E which flew with 144FIS Alaska ANG between 1954 and 1958

Operated in Alaska from new in 1983 until being withdrawn to AMARC at Davis Monthan in July 2017
