Real identity is/was D-ELVK.

Built as a testbed (TAC 02) in March 2002. Even though 8 customers had placed 125 firm orders and having 164 options, the manufacturing of the Dornier 728 family was never realized due to the insolvency of the manufacturer. As a result, all orders were cancelled. The frame was reportedly sold at an auction for ~€8000, likely by the current owner, which is the Deutsches Technik Museum. The frame was transported by road to Tempelhof in November 2013 and is now stored outside on the airport grounds. Unfortunately the other side of the frame was blocked by a trailer and no clean photo was possible.

Delivered to the USAAF around 1945 as 45-557. Ferried to Tempelhof in May 1971 and still on display here after the airport closed permanently.

Delivered to Alisarda in April 1967 as I-SARP. To Cimber Air by 1970 as OY-BDM. Reregistered D-CIMA between April 1971 and December 1974. To Altair Airlines between April 1975 and March 1981 as N488A. To Tempelhof Airways USA in August 1987 as N106TA. Permanently withdrawn from use at Tempelhof in 1992.

Delivered to the USAAF around 1945 as 45-951. A new construction number (34214) was assigned to the aircraft and it was converted to a WC-47. To an unknown owner as N73856. To the Spanish Air Force in april 1962 as T.3-54. Later became G-BLFL and N951CA. Cancelled as G-BLFL in August 1986 and loaned to the Deutsches Technick Museum in Berlin. She was placed on the roof in 1999.

Delivered to Interflug in July 1968 as DM-SCB. Reregistered DDR-SCB in September 1981. By May 1998 the aircraft was placed on display at Oschersleben. Transferred to Magdeburg in September 2004.

Delivered to Aeroflot in May 1986 as CCCP-28802. To Aircompany Chaika in 1997 as UR-28802. To mdSKYDIVE in September 2007 as RF-00308. Registered RA-2092K between January 2010 and January 2012.
