This SNV-1 is inreality BuNo 34373 and was accepted by the US Navy in May 1943 to Cuddihy Field in Corpus Christi, Texas, and then to NAS Dallas. It was stricken from service in October 1944 and its history is unknown from then until the 1980s. It was at North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) in Denton and was part of their Reserve Officer Training Program (ROTC). After the program was phased out the aircraft was donated for preservation and is on display as BT-13 64966.

Preserved at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum is this Mc Donnell Douglas QF-4S Phantom II. Assigned Navy Bureau of Aeronautics Number 153821, c/n 2135. It had the service nickname "Rhino" and was the last Navy/Marine Corps F-4 to fly. This was the first aircraft acquired by the Fort Worth Aviation Museum in 2004 and is on loan from the National Naval Aviation Museum (NNAM) in Pensacola, Florida.

Vought A-7B-3-CV Corsair II, Navy Bureau of Aeronautics No. 154479, c/n B-119, was built in 1968 in Dallas or Grand Prairie, Texas. The Navy accepted the aircraft on August 21, 1968. In October 1968, the A-7 was assigned to Attack Squadron One Twenty Two, VA-122, "Flying Eagles" at NAS LeMoore, California. The unit was also known as "Corsair College." It carried tail code "NJ". This unit was a fleet replacement squadron. Later on display at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum.

The Fort Worth Aviation Museum's Vought F8U-1P - later redesignated a RF8-G — Crusader, Navy Bureau of Aeronautics No. 146898, was built in 1960 in Grand Prairie, Texas. The aircraft was both delivered to and accepted by the Navy on February 26, 1960. It was made part of the collection of aircraft at the USS Alabama Memorial in Mobile, Alabama. In 2005 it was heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina and removed to National Naval Aviation Museum to be prepared for the bombing range at Eglin AFB. VMAP saved it from destruction, but the aircraft still needs restoration.

On display at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum is this Douglas A-4C Skyhawk. Douglas A4D-2N Skyhawk was accepted by the Navy on April 29, 1960. It carries Navy Bureau of Aeronautics Number 147715, c/n 12479, and was redesignated as an A-4C in 1962. Later converted to A-4L.

Del/01 Nov 1961 49th TFW Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, deployed to Wheelus Air Base in Libya. 23rd TFW, transferred to the 192nd TFW (Virginia Air National Guard) at Byrd Field, Virginia assigned to the 23rd and 36th TFW of the Virginia Air National Guard, 149th FS Preserved at Fort Worth Aviation Museum, Dedicated to my brother Ivan "THUD" Peña.
