The 1A "Gulfhawk" is a one-off aeroplane comprising an amalgamation between the Curtiss Navy F6C-4 and the Army P-1 Hawk with a Wright Cyclone engine. The aircraft was primarily used to promote military aviation to the public during the inter-war years and is now on display at the NASM Udvar-Hazy Center. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
