When South African Airways retired its Viscount fleet, British Midland picked it up. Here seen at Johannesburg before the titles were removed and the aircraft reregistered and flown to the UK. First flown at Hurn 22 Dec 1958, delivered to SAA as ZS-CDV 10 Jan 1959. Ca 1962 repainted in the first orange tail livery first introduced with the 707s in 1960. Sept 1971 retired and stored at JNB. To British Midland Jan 1972 as G-AZLV, leased to Cyprus Airways 1975. To BAE in part exchange for BMA's ATP fleet May 1986, scrapped by 1987.
