42-29782 had already been a war monument for several years when Max and John Biegert made it airworthy again as a heavy agricultural spraying aircraft, installing seven chemical tanks in the fuselage and two F-94 Starfire tip tanks underwing. It became a fire bomber in May 1960, perhaps after this accident, and starred in several war movies. It is now at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
